CARMINA BURANA PHOTOS BY WEIDONG YANG

Audience response to Carmina Burana: Revisited

"I saw Sunday evening's performance of "Carmina Burana: Revisited" and would like to congratulate you on an evocative piece of choreography. I've always enjoyed Orff's music since seeing my first Carmina Burana as performed by Atlanta Ballet in the late sixties. But your choreography allowed me to see the music in a completely different light. You were right to go against its grain and use it as an emotional carpet for the women to bare their heart and soul. I also was impressed by how well you choreograph for the female body, by the strength/grace/beauty/sensuality of the seven dancers, and by their ensemble spirit. BRAVO! to all of you. I look forward to seeing more of your choreography in the future.
-Clover Mathis, Ex-dancer: Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem

"This was the most incredible performance I have seen ever and I mean this. With Daiane in the spot light you cannot go wrong but to bring the audience to its feet and astound the world like you did tonight. I will never forget this and including everyone who work so hard in the performance and supporting the project. I am honored to be part of this event and future performances."
- Kathy Mata, Director, Kathy Mata Ballet/ Ballet Teacher

"Carmina Burana: Revisited was a true ritual; mature, well crafted, inspired, and though everyone did well, Miss Daiane rose to the Yuriko Kimura/Mary Hinkson heights tonight. Sensational. BRAVO!!!!"
